The Beppu Collection includes Beppu photographs, posters, and maps from the Meiji, Taisho and Showa eras, Beppu-related literature, old daily necessities, Beppu related music records, ‘Aburaya Kumahachi’ materials, ‘Tetsuwan Inao’ materials, ‘Nagashi no Hatchan Bunchan’ materials, ‘Murakami Ayame’ materials, Japan’s first female bus guide, etc.materials of famous foreigners who visited Beppu, photos of Beppu’s ‘Beppu Hatto’ walk, photos of back alleys, and photos of ‘Gokuraku Meguri’ masters (about 5,000 items).
