別府市営竹瓦温泉
It is a retro municipal hot spring that appears in the anime ‘Spirited Away’, and is very popular with foreigners. It is a temple building with a history of more than 100 years, and is a symbol of Beppu onsen.
Regular bath is 100 yen, Special Sand Bath is 1,000 yen

There are many fresh vegetables and fruits lined up. Many local people and tourists visit the restaurants, and you can enjoy B-class gourmet food.
北浜天然海浜砂湯（昭和初期頃）
Kitahama Natural Seaside Sand Bath of Beppu Onsen, located next to the former Beppu Port. When the tide ebbs, a mudflat forms, from which hot springs seep out naturally.
If you ask Mr. Sand to dig a hole, lie down and sprinkle sand on it, it will be a different world. It was the most famous place in Beppu Onsen where you can be healed by the sound of waves and the view of the seas. It appeared frequently in novels, but unfortunately, due to the widening of the road, this thousand-year history spot closed down in 1965.
On the other side of the photo is the embankment of Beppu Port, which was completed in 1884, and some of the stone masonry still exists.
