He stands that the painting should be grand, bold and unrestrained, and mix both Chinese and Western styles and be a natural and integral whole, and that the painting’s context should emanate from the heart and one should use heart to maneuver the hands while painting. His paintings are characterized by gracefulness, elegance, naturalness, simplicity and magnificence. His work “Painting of the Three Friends” depicting the simple but elegant plum blossom, moon and snow is well renowned, and his works depicting red plum blossom, white plum blossom and calyx canthus are widely collected in Japan, Republic of Korea, United Kingdom, Indonesia, India and also in mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao.

He dedicates all his life and concentrates all his energy to the fine arts, enjoying the loneliness and attaching importance to practice, tradition and basic skills, and prioritizes the refining of morality, knowledge and cultivation. He always believe that “in a group of three persons, there must be one for me to learn something from” and this may have constantly led him to incessant sublimation in arts.
